Bird Watching

Just spotted a bird in a far off mountain range, it looks exotic. Thank god the ecosystem of my room is left to florish and regularly seed bombed by a giant.

Counterfeit Poster Design

My three, well four years in art school has lead me to making a counterfeit poster for the degree show, since my exhibit is out of the way. My design skills are now proving useful. I even found the very arrow from the internet.

The Degree Show

The degree show is ready and waiting.

Film making

Well well well my film is exporting as I type this little entry. Layers of sounds and song, a journey into the water. I spaced out showings of the film so the objects have some visual peace to rest and be still. Also because I quite like the element of surprise. I've always liked hiding things and this time I've included an extra bit of the video, perhaps a reveal, just once for some to see and others to miss. I seem to be a fan of secrets and puzzles within artwork, which links to curiosity, I think there is something intimate about hiding something for the viewer. I also like the idea of people seeing different versions of the work and I show the films at irregular intervals to add a sense of unexpected. To develop this Id like to play more with making more variants within the film editing. 

Old Umbrella

This old umbrella must be good for something.

I wonder what?

What if I hang it upside down?

Can I fill it with something?

Rice?

And so it began a rice spell to dispel bad luck

 (the kind you get from opening an umbrella inside, which I did.)

Den Sized Warrior

Feeling forlorn, unsure and dejected. I didn't know what to do. Times like this call for a den.

The den no longer lives in my studio, there are only remnants of fabric. So I recreated a momentary man size den just for me.

Feeling much better now, I am rejuvenated.
