The Turquoise Waters of the Piazza
I see a brigde over turquoise waters in the Piazza of Ventimiglia. However it seems the waters have dried.
That wont stop me, I've travelled a long way for this.
That wont stop me, I've travelled a long way for this.
I will paddle anyway.
ENCOUNTER WITH A STRANGER
There is a strange creature living in the depths of these waters.
It has lungs.
Hands.
A pentagonal spine.
and five eyes, one on each vertebrae:
He passes on wisedom to the messenger.

The Search for the Pink Rabbit
Just over 5 years ago I heard news of a giant knitted pink bunny rabbit somewhere in the hills of Italy.
Just over 5 years later, this is what I found. Click here.

Bridging a gap
Wednesday 13th August
I like crossing brigdes into Verona. So I didnt rush.
A film of sharpening my pencil into the wind. Colours and wind. Wind, wind, lovely wind.
I ask myself...is it time to leave the brigde? No. Wait and see.
V for Verona
So we arrive in Verona from Rovereto. We walked accross the city with our heavy bags searching for the hostel on a blurrily undetailed map. When we arrive at the hostel it is an old building with ornate and eroding designs going up the staircase. Later we ate in a restaurant by the street, as if on a stage. We had a warm and fun night, a great way to end a festival and land in the next place.

The Blue Lagoon
On the first day of a festival we went to the tourquoise lake near Riva del Garda. My eyes excited as I saw the bright turquoise waters.
Slowly, slowly we entred the lake and soon we were all submerged. Surrounded by mountains we swam futher in. I saw the familiar faces of my friends as floating heads, drifting towards to the other side of the lake. Surprised how we'd all made it to italy and this dreamy lagoon.
I spilt up from my friends and walked around the edge of ths lagoon. I saw the banks scattered with people. Turning a corner I saw a big group of people I knew playing music. Saxophone, guitars, violin and singing. I joined in to sing Summertime and as they played on I went into the lake again, swimming and dancing to an island in the water.
